Room to Simply Be.

Time to sit by the ocean, walk, journal, read, drink tea, watch the fire, or rest is woven into the retreat. You can share quiet company without needing conversation, or take time to yourself. These open spaces are part of how the experience settles into your life.

THE SETTING · BAILEY ISLAND

Between the cove
and the open ocean.

Coast & Crow sits between Mackerel Cove and Giant Stairs, two iconic coastal Maine places you can reach on foot. Here, the water is never far away.

Learning the Language of Place.

Nature participates in the experience. We slow down to notice tides and waves, wind through the trees, birds, textures, sounds, shifting light, and the small changes of the season. Through our senses, we remember our place within a living world.

Ocean Therapy draws on the idea of Blue Mind: the sense of calm and quiet attention we may find near water. Here, you are invited to notice your own response to its rhythm, with no particular feeling required.

The changing tides offer a gentle way to reflect on impermanence, release, resilience, grief, and renewal. There is room for what is changing in your life, and no timetable for what you feel.

Belonging also invites care. We approach the forest and ocean with gratitude, humility, and respect for wildlife and local access.

THE HEART BEHIND COAST & CROW

“Find the quiet that lets you remember who you are.”
Rebekah smiling in a cream wrap, with a softly blurred rocky coastline and water behind her

Why I created
Coast & Crow.

In my one-on-one Reiki sessions and group Nidra Heal experiences, I kept noticing something: so many people are seeking healing, even when they can’t quite put into words what needs care.

Those experiences can open the door to something meaningful. But I often wished we had more time. Time to listen, to explore, and to go deeper without having to return so quickly to the distractions of everyday life. Coast & Crow grew from that wish.

The word I keep coming back to is remember. I believe there is a divine light at the core of every person—an essential self that remains unchanged beneath stress, grief, roles, expectations, and all that life brings. Coast & Crow creates space to reconnect with that light: to remember what has been there all along.

As we remember who we are, we can begin to recognize what no longer feels in alignment, what needs our attention, and where healing might begin.

My hope is that this space gives you time to find your way home to yourself—and that you leave with a renewed connection you can carry into your life, continuing your own path of discovery and healing long after your stay.

Sending love,
Rebekah

Where it all started.

This is the floor where my first Yoga Nidra clients lay down, closed their eyes, and trusted me to guide them.

Holding space for them shaped who I am as a healer. Those early sessions planted the seeds for Coast & Crow—and the wish to offer more time to slow down, listen deeply, and remember who we are.

GETTING HERE

Let the journey
be part of the pause.

Trade the highway for a window seat. A train ride to Brunswick brings you within easy reach of Bailey Island, with time to read, rest, and watch New England pass by.

01 / TAKE THE TRAIN

Boston to Brunswick

The Amtrak Downeaster runs directly from Boston’s North Station to downtown Brunswick. Settle into a comfortable seat and enjoy the changing scenery, without driving the highway miles, paying road tolls, or stopping for gas along that part of your journey.

Coming from the Fitchburg or Leominster area? Take the MBTA Fitchburg Line from Wachusett, Fitchburg, or North Leominster to North Station, then connect to the Downeaster in the same station. Check departure boards for your platform and allow time between trains.

Book each rail service separately. Fares vary by date and availability; check current schedules and service alerts before booking.

02 / MAKE TIME FOR BRUNSWICK

A little exploring
before you arrive.

Step off the train and into a lively, creative town center. Brunswick is home to Bowdoin College, independent shops, artisan goods, galleries, craft coffee, and inviting restaurants.

Choose an earlier train and give yourself time to wander Maine Street, browse something handmade, linger over lunch, or explore the college’s surroundings. Your time away can begin before you reach the island.

03 / THE FINAL STRETCH

From town to tide.

From Brunswick, continue by car to Bailey Island in Harpswell. Allow about 30 minutes for the drive, depending on your pickup point and traffic.

“I’m happy to help you arrange transportation for the final stretch to Coast & Crow.” — Rebekah

Arrange your ride ahead of time. Uber is an option when drivers are available; a prearranged taxi or car service offers another way to reach the island. Plan your return transfer too, so you can leave your car at home with confidence.
